VraieSource column lineage
Trace a source change through compiled transformation SQL to the exact dashboard, chart, and displayed field.
Static analysis of supplied SQL and report definitions. No live systems connected.
PostgreSQL only. SQL Server, MySQL, and Oracle coverage is planned, not available. Inputs and analysis stay in this page’s memory.
Try a supplied scenario
Each scenario loads editable definitions and runs the same static analyzer. Runtime data quality, actual materializations and freshness are not inspected.
Supplied inputs
Supported SQL and limits
Explicit CREATE TABLE columns and types; SELECT aliases, arithmetic, CASE, casts, non-recursive SELECT CTEs, derived tables and ON joins. Column renames, drops, additions, table renames/drops and ALTER COLUMN TYPE. Value edges follow expressions; row-dependency edges follow joins, filters, grouping and ordering. Supported signatures validate count, sum, avg, min/max, abs, lower/upper, two-argument date_trunc and equal-type coalesce; unknown types and coercions remain unverified. Casts preserve invalid or unresolved operand evidence. Wildcards, recursive CTEs, unions, lateral/table functions, JOIN USING, ordinal grouping, unknown function signatures, window semantics and unsupported expressions remain unverified. No SQL execution, database search path, live metadata or complete semantic/type validation.
Ready to trace the supplied workflow
The example contains two transformation models and two reports. No findings or graph are populated until the supplied SQL is analyzed.

Feedback you send is processed by Formspree and delivered to the VraieSource project owner. Your SQL, dependency JSON, code and files are not automatically attached.
Sent or copied feedback includes your answers, your email if given, the example or demo you used, whether results were out of date, and result counts. It never includes your SQL, JSON, code, or file contents.
